with english translations of some of Ghalib's shers. SInce i can't
read the Nastaliq script, I was wondering if someone could help with
figuring out what the original sher are. From the translations i couls
figure out a couple of them but not all

Who has the leisure for the industry of passion
Where is one's longing to behold the glorious

Love demands endurance, while desire is consuming
What should be my state until obsession devours patience

The world is a children's playground before me
Night and Day, this theatre is enacted before me

( "Fursat-E-Karobaar-E-Shauq Kise, Zauq-E-Nazzara-E-Jamaal Kahaan"
from "Vo firaq aur vo visaal kahan")

(??)

The world is a children's playground before me
Night and Day, this theatre is enacted before me

("bazeecha-e-atfal hai duniya mere aage, hota hai shab-o-roz tamasha
mere aage")

What appears as confirmation of the Ocean's actuality
Is it merely a sum total of wave, drop, phosphorescence
(??)

Granted they are not a lover of God, yes, they are unfaithful
Whoever holds creed and heart beloved, do not dare to wander up their
way

(??)

Could someone help with the actual sher for the other cases. Pl do
also comment on the translations of the authors

please take a look at my translation:

Mat pooch ke kya haal hai mera teray peechey
Tu dekh ke kya rang tera meray aage

Do not look at the colors draining from me after you leave
Just look at the colors filling you up just by my presence
(Why ask others, how colorless I seem without you
you must see the range of colors I paint you with/
you must see how colorful you become in front of me
sometimes I believe that Assadullah was talking to Ghalib
his name in this couplet praising himself for creating Ghalib)

I am sorry if any of my understanding offends someone. I apologize in advance.

Hello,

This might be coming a little late, but there are what I understood -

Love demands endurance, while desire is consuming
What should be my state until obsession devours patience

1) आशिक़ी सब्र-तलब और तमन्ना बेताब
दिल का क्या रंग करूँ ख़ून-ए-जिगर होने तक।
(From - Aah ko chahiye ek umr asar hone tak)

2) What appears as confirmation of the Ocean's actuality
Is it merely a sum total of wave, drop, phosphorescence

"hai mushtamil numūd-e ṣuvar par vujūd-e baḥr
yāñ kyā dharā hai qat̤rah-o-mauj-o-ḥubāb meñ"

3) Granted they are not a lover of God, yes, they are unfaithful
Whoever holds creed and heart beloved, do not dare to wander up their
way

"Haan Wo Nahi Khuda Parast, Jao Wo Bewafa Sahi, Jisko Ho Deen o Dil Azeez, Uski Gali Mei Jaye Kyon"

(From Dil hi to hai na sang-o-khishqt)

Hope it helps :)
